Loewy's incredible career spanned seven decades. In 1909 he designed the Ayrel aircraft; in 1942, the Lucky Strike white package; in the 1950s, he redesigned the Coca-Cola bottle. The Studebaker Avanti car came in 1963; the United States Postal Service logo in 1970, and one of his last designs in the 1970s was the interior of NASA's Skylab space station.
