As snow sweeps across the country from the west, the northeastern United States is bracing for heavy snowfall that could cause blizzard conditions from Thursday evening into Friday.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service (NWS) expect multiple storm systems to converge along the East Coast, with eastern New York and Massachusetts getting the brunt of it. Winter weather has already affected areas around the country and it is expected to leave "arctic air" in its wake.
"Aside from the snow and wind, the big issue will be the brutally cold air tomorrow and again early next week after a brief warm up this weekend," Chris Vaccaro, director of communications for the National Weather Service, told Mashable in an email. Read more...
