New Yorkers have lots of problems with the streets on which they walk, drive, bike, take cabs and ride buses—at least, according to an interactive map that the New York City government recently released.
The map is on a government website page called "Vision Zero," which is the city's plan to lower the number of traffic-related accidents there, an agenda it announced in January. Residents can use the map to highlight problems in their section of town by zooming in, clicking on a street and filling out a description of the issue. The city plans to crowdsource the information and use it in five separate plans to make traffic more safe in each of the five boroughs. Read more...
