Google is eyeing an entry into the growing smart home market through its Nest division and a possible acquisition of startup Dropcam.
The combination of Dropcam's Wi-Fi enabled cameras and the expansion of Nest would give Google the capability to offer customers cutting-edge home security and control to compete with companies like Comcast, Time Warner Cable and even Apple.
