Llamas are a welcome presence at the Bellingham Health and Rehabilitation Center in Washington state. When they walk down the halls, patients stop to greet them. They get kisses and hugs.
While they may seem like unconventional visitors, the llamas, named Marisco and N.H. Flight of the Eagle, are just two of thousands of therapy animals in the United States. Of course, only a handful of those therapy animals are llamas.
