Iconic 'Breaking Bad' Items Could Go On Display at the Smithsonian

The same place that's home to Seinfeld's "Puffy Shirt" could soon play host to Heisenberg's hat.


Curators at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History are currently in discussions with Breaking Bad's studio Sony about making some of the show's iconic pieces part of the national collections, a rep for the Smithsonian Institution tells Mashable.



Star Bryan Cranston first mentioned the possibility in an interview with the LA Times, in which he admitted that he and creator Vince Gilligan each own one of Heisenberg's hats. However, he said, if Smithsonian went forward with plans to include items from the show, "I would give them everything I stole." Read more...
