Is That Andy Warhol on My Park Bench?

An art project is trying to get some attention for classic masterpieces outside of a museum. Art Everywhere US, a cross-country art project, launched Monday in cities across the United States, taking renowned artworks and plastering them in public spaces on billboards, buses, benches and more.


The concept was inspired by Richard Reed, who founded Art Everywhere, "a very very big art show," in Britain. British art was on display where advertising is normally seen throughout July.



The art highlighted in Art Everywhere US was first chosen by the participating museums and then set to a public vote. The resulting list of 58 artworks are meant to represent American history and culture. Read more...
