Amtrak Leaves Station Without Passengers, Apologizes With Doritos

An Amtrak train traveled from New York City to Washington, D.C., on Saturday and accidentally left all 85 passengers behind at Penn Station.


Passengers reported that they were told to switch platforms for the 3 p.m. train, which was passing through New York en route from Boston.



"They literally sent us to the wrong platform, and the conductor took off without any passengers," Damien Miano, 60, told The New York Daily News. "The right hand didn’t know what the left hand was doing. It was just so bizarre."


Passengers reported that they were fed Doritos and pizza until the next Acela Express train headed for Washington came along around 5:15 p.m. Read more...
